Private stall, daily attentive care
Ideal for horses that benefit from a structured environment, closer daily monitoring, or need to be kept separate from pasture turnout.
Open to riders 8 years and older, beginners to intermediate. Big Oak's lessons welcome families looking for a safe, supervised introduction to horses and horsemanship.
Sessions run one full hour in a small-group setting. Riders get time in the saddle and time on the ground — learning how to handle, groom, and care for the horses they ride.
Every lesson includes horse care instruction. Riders leave knowing more than how to sit — they understand the animal, build confidence, and develop a genuine partnership from the ground up.
Professional-grade sand arena for riding lessons, schooling, and general flatwork year-round.
Well-maintained barn with private stalls for stall boarders and shelter access for all horses.
Multiple pastures cycled on a rotation schedule — fresh grass, well-managed ground, healthy horses.
Pasture boarders have round-the-clock access to open pasture. Horses live as horses — out and moving.
Grain fed twice daily (AM and PM). Supplemental hay provided to all boarders as part of the program.
Conveniently located on Centerville Road in Anderson — easy to reach from across Upstate SC.
