Chapter 05 05 Riding Lessons

Where young riders learn the whole picture — not just the saddle time.

For ages 8 and up

Open to riders 8 years and older, beginners to intermediate. Big Oak's lessons welcome families looking for a safe, supervised introduction to horses and horsemanship.

One hour, group format

Sessions run one full hour in a small-group setting. Riders get time in the saddle and time on the ground — learning how to handle, groom, and care for the horses they ride.

Horse care included

Every lesson includes horse care instruction. Riders leave knowing more than how to sit — they understand the animal, build confidence, and develop a genuine partnership from the ground up.
